Centurion Films is a production company founded by writer/director
Kieran Rayment and actor/producer Paul McDuffe. Centurion
Films focuses on producing original, quality feature films,
in both comedic and dramatic genres.
Their
current project, “Confessions of a Slacker”
was pulled from the premise of the unfinished feature script
back in 2004. It was forged as a Sheridan College student
film which on several awards at the 2005 Sheridan Media
Arts Awards, including Best Picture, Third Year Peoples
Choice, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography. It was also
nominated for Best Director and Best Sound.
“Confessions of a Slacker”
is an action packed yet heart filled comedy of an alcoholic
who strives to be a writer while working at a gas station.
His girlfriend leaves him for his best friend which commences
the beginning of a drinking binge. While confiding in his
slow witted friend he reflects on all his drunken high school
days and realizes that the only way to get his girlfriend
back, or to get any girl for that matter, is to clean himself
up, get his life together and put the bottle down for good.
They plan to produce the feature length version of “Confessions
of a Slacker” with several of the main cast
and crew members from the original short production and
begin filming as early as Fall 2006. For more information
